| Although things are not perfect; Because of trials or pain; Continue in thanksgiving; Do not begin to blame; Even when the times are hard; Fierce winds are bound to blow; God is forever able; Hold on to what you know; Imagine life without His love; Joy would cease to be; Keep thanking Him for all the things; Love imparts to thee; Move out of "Camp Complaining"; No weapon that is known; On earth can yield the power; Praise can do alone; Quit looking at the future; Redeem the time at hand; Start every day with worship; To "thank" is a command; Until we see Him coming; Victorious in the sky; We'll run the race with gratitude; eXalting God most high; Yes, there'll be good times & yes some will be bad, but...Zion waits in glory...where no one is ever sad! wow...i was so encouraged by this! so much is going on...so much is usually going on but we as Gods children have so much more to cling to then the disappointment and lack of hope/faith that is so evident in the world today. i have also been reminded to taking every thought captive! EVERY thought! check the depth and simply beautiful reality of this quote.... Although it is important and even indispendable for out spiritual lives to set apart time for God and God alone, our prayer can only become unceasing communion when all our thoughts - beautiful or ugly, high or low, proud or shameful, sorrowful or joyful - can be thought in the presence of the One who dwells in us and surrounds us. By trying to do this, our unceasing thinking is converted into unceasing prayer moving us from a self-centered monologue to a God-centered dialogue. To do this we want to try to convert our thoughts into conversation. The main question therefore, is not so much what we think, but to whom we present our thoughts....to think and live in the presence of Love. -Henry Nouwen have a blessed and incredibly awesome day with Jesus!!!

| this season has been so amazing... tim and i were 9 weeks pregnant and lost our baby Christmas day... my friends grandparents are seemingly taking last breaths... my own grandfather who was a perfectly healthy man about a month and a half ago just about left us this week due to the type of leukemia he was recently diagnosed with... just all around things that for someone without Jesus may seem so devastating..are happening and yet there is the sweet peace of our Savior Jesus Christ. ive been so challenged and reminded lately that we become what we immerse ourselves in and how important it is to be around and force ourselves to be grateful and extremely thankful people. when we ponder and think on the many many blessings we and those around us are given it is really hard-actually quite impossible- to get down or upset and bitter. we are all so blessed and loved by an amazing and awesome Lord...lets help each other remember this beautiful fact and live our lives completely soaked in it! |
